necting components with maximum current consumption of 3 A inside the chamber to a
power source with maximum 16 V DC. It has no fuses. The integrated lowpass filter
ensures high shielding effectiveness of the DC power supply.
The feedthrough has female barrel connectors on the inside and outside of the cham-
ber. When you put in a plug, it connects the outer conductor to ground. Therefore, you
can use only the inner conductor pin of the DC barrel connector. Figure 6-39 (3) shows
this positive polarity.
Risk of damaging the power feedthrough by mechanical shock
The R&S TS-F1PODC1 contains mechanically sensitive filter elements. If the power
feedthrough drops or receives a mechanical impact, these elements can easily break
or be damaged. A damaged filter element can lead to a shortcut in the feedthrough.
To avoid this risk, handle the power feedthrough R&S TS-F1PODC1 with care.

The DC power feedthrough is not a serviceable part. If it is defective or not working
correctly, replace it.
6.6.13 DC power feedthrough R&S TS-F1POBB2
The R&S TS-F1POBB2, order no. 1536.0353.02, is an optional filtered power feed-
through to provide a DC power supply interface to the chamber interior. It allows con-
necting components with maximum current consumption of 5 A inside the chamber to a
power source with maximum 48 V DC. It has no fuses. The integrated lowpass filter
ensures high shielding effectiveness of the DC power supply.
The feedthrough has 4-mm banana sockets, colored red and black for supply voltage
and ground.
