When the knife protection device of the separation function (ASM
function, Automatic Separation Module) is opened, the z-axis and
ASM-axis are stopped. If the knife protection device is opened during
the printing process, it is stopped immediately and paused until the
knife protection device is closed again and the safety warning on the
touch display has been acknowledged.
The separation function is also deactivated. → Chapter 1.3.2
We do not recommend opening the knife protection
device during the printing process, since the immediate
stop to the process can negatively impact the print
result.
