7.1.2 Switching On the Machine in Daytime Mode
Proceed as follows to switch the machine on in daytime mode when the
main switch is already set to the «I» position (On):
1. Prerequisite: The machine was switched off using the power on
button only when it was last switched off.
2. Press the power on button on the front of the machine.
The power on button lights up green and the machine starts. The
display shows “Starting Machine”. The printer software opens
and the start page (main menu) of the user interface is displayed
(see fig. below). The z-axis carries out a reference run in the
direction of the upper end position.

In order to make the operation of the machine even
more comfortable, supporting messages appear at
some operating points. For an optimisation of your
printing processes and printing results, every message
with a recommendation for action is displayed.
When starting the machine, the following supporting
messages appear:
– Information about the material reservoir
(if reservoir is inserted)
– Updates available
(if “Automatic Updates” is enabled,
→ Main Menu > «Setup» > «Service» >
«Switch Level» > «Customer»)
– Basic information (e.g. license status)
