8 Decommissioning
8.1 Switching Off the Machine
8.1.1 Switching Off the Machine in Daytime Mode
Proceed as follows to switch off the machine in daytime mode:
1. Press the «Shutdown» button in the top left-hand corner of the
display. The shutdown countdown will appear.
The machine now counts 10 seconds ( « Shut Down (10) » ) until
the machine shuts down automatically.
2. Press the «Shut Down (X)» button to start shutting down the
machine early, before the 10 seconds have elapsed.
3. Wait until the display turns black and the power on button is no
longer illuminated in green.
Cancelling the Process
You can cancel the machine shutdown before the
shutdown countdown has elapsed. To do so, press the
«Cancel» button. The countdown is cancelled, and you
are taken back to the user interface.
Closing the Software
You can close the printer software during the shutdown
countdown to return to the machine desktop. To do so,
press the «Close» button. The countdown is cancelled,
and the software is closed. You are then taken back the
machine desktop.
(You can shut the machine down from the desktop by
pressing the «shutdown» shortcut twice. Wait for the
machine to shut down completely.)
8.1.2 Switching Off the Machine for a Prolonged Period of Time (> 1 Week)
Proceed as follows to switch off the machine for several days:
1. Switching off the machine. → Chapter 8.1
2. Flip the main switch to the «O» (Off) position.
8.2 Shutting Down the Machine for a Long Period of Time
(> 1 Month)
For the long-term shutdown of the machine, please proceed as follows:
1. Switching off the machine. → Chapter 8.1
2. Switch the main switch to the «O» (Off) position.
3. Unplug the power supply.
4. Store the machine safely. → Chapter 3.4
