Color Mode
Use this to select whether the document is printed in color or black and white.
The following shows where you can select this function.
[Color Mode] is displayed under [General 1] in the [Feature Sets:] list on [Printer Features] in the print
dialog box.
You can select from the following items:
Color
Prints color documents in full color.
Black and White
Prints everything, including color documents, in black and white. Black and White printing is faster
than Color printing. To stop black and white areas being printed with CMYK toner, select [Black and
White] in the printer driver as well as in the application.
• Color images will be printed using CMYK toner, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. CMYK are three
primary subtractive colors.
Gradation
Use this to select a type of gradation based on your purpose.
The following shows where you can select this function.
[Gradation] is displayed under [General 1] in the [Feature Sets:] list on [Printer Features] in the print dialog
box.

Color Setting
Use this to select the correction method used for color conversion.
The following shows where you can select this function.
[Color Setting] is displayed under [General 2] in the [Feature Sets:] list on [Printer Features] in the print
dialog box.
You can select from the following items:
Off
No modification to the color setting.
