EN 175Secure your Ricoh printer against unwanted access
Secure your Ricoh printer against unwanted access
Protect your Ricoh printer against unwanted access and printouts by using a password-protected (secured) Wi-
Fi connection, creating a unique printer display name, and limiting access to your printer.
Connect to a secured Wi-Fi network
Connect the printer to a secured Wi-Fi network to prevent unwanted access.
CAUTION: Ricoh does not recommend connecting your printer to an unsecured (open) network. Doing so
increases the risk of possible unwanted printer and network access.
When connecting to a network, look at the icon next to the network name and make sure it has a Lock icon
next to it. This lock represents a secure connection.

Change the router Wi-Fi password to make the network more secure and to remove any unwanted users.
NOTE
: Changing the Wi-Fi password removes all connected devices from the network. Any devices you want
to use will need to be reconnected with the new password.
