284 Chapter 8 Solve a problem EN
To restore the printer to the original factory defaults from the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
1. Open the Embedded Web Server (EWS). For more information, see Open the Embedded Web Server.
2. On the EWS Home page, click the Sign In button on the top right corner of the page.
3. Enter the PIN from the label on your printer, and click Submit.
NOTE: The PIN label can be found inside the front door.
4. Click Settings tab.
5. In the Restore Defaults section, click Restore Factory Settings.
6. Click Restore Factory Defaults.
A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.
7. Click Yes.
To restore the printer to the original network settings from the printer display
1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab
at the top of the screen to open
the Dashboard, and then touch
(Setup).
2. Touch Network Setup.
3. Touch Restore Network Settings.
A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored.
4. Touch Yes.
5. Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.
NOTE
: When you reset the printer network settings, previously configured wireless and Ethernet settings
(such as the link speed or IP address) are removed. The IP address is set back to the Automatic mode.
To restore the printer to the original network settings from the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
