• An NFC tag is required for connecting this machine to an Android smart device that has the Ricoh
Smart Device Connector application installed. Give this NFC tag to the customer so that they can
attach it to the machine. Where the tag should be attached and how to set it up for using the
smart-device application are described in the help guide within the application. The setup procedure
should be performed by the customer.
Installation Procedure
Put the machine on the optional paper tray unit first if you install an optional paper feed unit at the same time.
Then install the machine and other options.
• Keep the shipping retainers after you install the machine. You may need them in the future if you
transport the machine to another location.
