General
This bulletin provides information on how to work around the image quality issue known as
“shadow effect”, which is an expected result of the current machine specifications.
However, to meet high customer demand, we request the field to carry out the workaround
described in this bulletin as necessary.
Symptom
If a solid image is printed over a halftone background image and the images are of the
same color, the leading edge of the solid image appears darker, generating a “shadow”
effect. The symptom is more likely to occur in Black.
