5.4.6.1 Reduced Mode
Access code: No access restriction
Factory preset: ECO
Setting range ECO, RED
Function:
During reduced mode you can choose between two operating modes:
Setting values:
RED reduced mode
The direct heating circuit’s heating circuit pump remains active during reduced mode
(see Switching Time Program). The flow temperature is determined by the relevant
reduced heating characteristic according to the decreased room setpoint. The set
minimum temperature will be maintained.
Application: Buildings with low insulation values and high heat losses.
ECO switch-off mode
During reduced mode the direct heating circuit is completely switched off if the
outside temperature exceeds the set frost protection limit. The heat generator
minimum temperature limit is deactivated. The heating circuit pump is switched off
with a short delay in order to avoid a safety switch-off owing to the post heating of the
heat generator (extended pump running time).
If the outside temperature falls below the specified frost protection limit, the controller
switches from switch-off mode (ECO) to reduced mode (RED) and the heating circuit
temperature is adjusted according to the set reduced setpoint considering the low
limit of the heat generator.
Application: Buildings with high insulation values.
Caution: The mode set here also applies to the short operating modes ABSENCE and
REDUCED
