soonastheairbagsaredeployed,soasto
avoidinjury.
DoNotknockorstrikethepositionwhere
airbagsorrelatedpartsarelocated,soas
toavoidaccidentalairbagdeploymentwhich
maycauseseriousinjuryorevendeath.
Intheeventofacollision,theairbagcontrolunitmonitors
therateofdecelerationoraccelerationinducedbythe
collision,todeterminewhethertheairbagsshouldbe
deployed.Airbagdeploymentisvirtuallyinstantaneous
andoccurswithconsiderableforce,accompaniedbya
loudnoise.
Whenvehiclesencounterseriousfrontalcollision,
completelydeployedairbagswithcorrectlywornseatbelts
canlimitthemovementofdriverandfrontpassenger,and
reducetheriskofheadandchestinjury.Forvehicleswith
sideairbagsor/andsideaircurtains,ifthesideencounters
seriouscollision,thecompletelydeployedsideairbagswill
formanaircushionbetweenpassengersandvehicleside
toreducetheriskoflimbsideinjury.
Whenyousituprightintheseatandagainsttheseatback,
seatbeltsandairbagscanprovidethemosteffective
protection.Whenencounteringseriouscollision,airbags
willdeploydrastically.Atthismoment,ifyouorother
passengersdonotuseseatbeltsproperly,andlean
forward,reclineorsitinothercorrectpostured,youor
otherpassengersarelikelytosufferfromseriousinjuryor
fatalinjury.
