connectthebatterychargernegativeleadtothevehicle
bodyensuringagoodconnection.
•Ensureallterminalsarefreefromcorrosion.
•Onlysuitablebatterychargerscanbeused-please
consultanMGAuthorisedRepairerfordetails.
•Duringthechargingprocessthebatterytemperature
MUSTNOTexceed40ºC.
•DONOTattempttochargeabatteryattemperatures
below0ºC.
BatteryMaintenance
DONOTleaveelectriccomponentsswitched
onwhentheengineisnotrunning,the
batterymaybecomeatandyouwillnotbe
abletostarttheengine.
Thebatteryisdesignedtobemaintenancefree,so
topping-upisunnecessary.
Note:Ifthevehicleisstoredformorethan1month,
removetheearthleadfromthebattery.Makesure
thattheignitionswitchhasbeenturnedoffbefore
connectingordisconnectingtheearthlead.When
connectingtheearthleadagain,thevehiclemustbe
leftinalockedstatefor4hourstore-calibratethe
batterycondition.Failuretoadheretothiswillinhibit
thestop/startfunctionality.
