Presstheswitch(1)toturnthecourtesylighton,press

againtoturnoff.Pressoneoftheswitches(2)toturnon

amapreadinglight,pressagaintoturnoff.

AutomaticOperation

Courtesylightilluminationoccursautomaticallywhenever

thefollowingoccur.

•Thecarisunlocked.

•Adoororthetailgateisopened.

•Thehandsetisremoved,providingthesidelightshave

beenilluminatedduringtheprevious30seconds.

Note:Ifadoororthetailgateisleftopenforlonger

than15minutes,a‘time-out'functionwillextinguish

theinteriorlightsautomaticallytopreventthebattery

fromdischarging.

Ifnecessary,theautomaticilluminationfeaturesdescribed

abovecanbeswitchedoff,asfollows:

WhentheignitionisinpositionIorII,pressandhold

thecourtesylightswitch(1)for5seconds.Theinterior

lightswillashandthenextinguish.Automaticoperation

issuspended(manualoperationisstillavailable).T orestore

automaticoperation,repeattheaboveprocess.
