TheAirbagprovidesADDITIONAL

protectiononlyinasevereimpact.Itis

usedtosupplementtheprotectionprovided

bytheseatbeltinanaccidentinsteadof

replacingit.Eventhevehicleisequipped

withairbags,seatbeltsstillmustbeworn

properly,otherwiseyoumaysufferfrom

severeinjuryorevendeathinacollision.

Theairbagstogetherwiththelap-shoulder

seatbeltscanprovideoptimumprotection

foradults,butitisnotthecaseforinfants.

Theseatbeltandairbagsysteminthevehicle

arenotdesignedforprotectinginfants.The

protectionrequiredbyinfantsshouldbe

providedbychildrestraints.

Dependingonmodelconguration,airbagsystemmay

containthefollowingparts:

•FrontAirbags

•SeatSideAirbags(ifequipped)

•SideHeadImpactProtectionAirbags(ifequipped)

•AirbagControlModule

Thisvehicleisequippedwithtwofrontairbagsfordriver

andfrontpassenger,somemodelsbeequippedwithside

airbagsforfrontseatsandsideaircurtains.

Thefrontalairbagsarettedinthecenterpartofsteering

wheelandtheinstrumentpanelabovetheglovebox
