throughdualcircuits.Ifonecircuitshouldfail,theother
willcontinuetofunction,butgreaterpedalpressurewill
beneeded,andincreasedbrakepedaltravel,andlonger
stoppingdistanceswillbeexperienced.Intheeventof
abrakefailurewhereonlyonecircuitisoperational,
thecarshouldbebroughttoahaltassoonastrafc
conditionssafelyallow.DONOTcontinuedriving-seek
MGAuthorisedRepairer.
ServoAssistance
Thebrakingsystemisservoassisted,alwaysbeawareof
thefollowing:
Neverallowthecartofreewheelwiththeengineturned
off.
Alwaystakeparticularcarewhenbeingtowedwiththe
engineturnedoff.Iftheengineshouldstopforany
reasonwhiledriving,bringthecartoahaltasquickly
astrafcconditionssafelyallow,anddonotpumpthe
brakepedalasthebrakingsystemwillloseanyremaining
servoassistance.
Oncetheenginestopandthebrakingsystemlose
remainingservoassistance,applybrakepedaltostop
thecarwithtrafcconditionssafelyallowandseekMG
AuthorisedRepairer .
Asaresultoftheenginelosespeedorotherreasons
(atmosphericpressurei.e),brakingeffeciencyof
boosterlow,moreforceisneededtopressdownthe
brakepedaltostopthecar .
WetConditions
Drivingthroughwaterorheavyrainmayadverselyaffect
brakingefciency.Keepthesafedistancewithother
vehicles,pressbrakepedalintermittentlytomakebrake
