Intheeventofelectricalfailureorlowbatterypower,the
gearlevercannotbemovedoutofPposition.Inthe
eventoflowbatterypower,pleasestartthevehiclewith
boostercables,referto'EmergencyStarting'section.Ifthe
failureisnotcausedbylowbatterypower,dothefollowing
procedure:
1PulltheEPBswitchupwarduntiltheindicatorinthe
EPBswitchcomeson.
2T apethebladedscrewdrivertiptopreventscratching
thepanel.
3Insertthescrewdrivertipintothegapbetween
panels,prythegearleverpanelcarefullyandthen
liftit.
4Pressandholdtheunlockleveras'arrow1'shownin
guretomovethegearleverfromPposition.
Note:IfthegearleverisinPposition,itwillbe
lockedagain.
5Fitthegearleverpaneltotheconsole,pleasecontact
MGAuthorisedRepairerforserviceassoonas
possible.
GearShiftSpeed
AfterselectingDposition,thesmallerthrottleapplication
willleadtoshiftatlowvehiclespeed,thelargerthrottle
applicationwillcausethetransmissiontodelayshiftuntil
vehiclereachingahighspeed.
