Installation
Î The pins must be guided from the top in-
to the socket on the board.
5. Perform the wiring as described in the
'Installation' section.
6. Set up Modbus communication (see the
'Start-upandconguration'section).
5.7 Connecting the wiring
Risk of fatal injury due to electric shock.
Î Upon installation of the electric cables,
you are required to observe the regula-
tions concerning low-voltage installations
according to DINVDE0100 as well as
the regulations of your local power sup-
plier.
Î Use a suitable voltage supply which
guarantees that no dangerous voltages
reach the device in normal operation or
in the event of a fault in the system or
any other system parts.
Î Only perform the electrical connection
after switching off the supply voltage.
Make sure the supply voltage cannot be
switched on unintentionally.
Risk of actuator damage due to incorrect
wiring of the binary inputs.
Î Wire the binary inputs as oating con-
tacts.
Risk of actuator malfunction through the
removal of the potentiometer gear.
The actuator is ready to use in the delivered
state after the supply voltage is connected.
Tampering with the mechanical parts inside
the actuator will impair the functioning of the
actuator.

and depending on the application being

Î Guidethecablestothespring-cageter-
minals from the top (observe Table 5-1).
Î Connectbinarysignalsoveroatingcon-
tacts.
After connecting the supply voltage on start-
ing up the actuator for the rst time, the start
screen and the error reading E00 RUNT (no
initialization performed) appear in alternat-
ing sequence (see the 'Operation' section).
