6. Make sure the latch lever (11) springs up and the
windshield is contacting the bumper stops (12). This
indicates the latches are locked and the windshield is
secured open.
NOTE: Both latches must engage the catches to properly
secure the front windshield in the open position.
Closing the Windshield
CAUTION
Close the front windshield slowly to avoid injury
or machine damage.
1. Before closing the windshield, park the machine on
level ground, lower the work equipment to the
ground, and stop the engine. See “Maintenance
Safety” on page 2-5.
2. Move the hydraulic lockout control lever to the locked
(closed) position. See “Hydraulic Lockout Control
Lever” on page 3-22.

3. While sitting in the operator seat, pull the left and
right latch levers (2) down to unlock the windshield.
4. Make sure both latches are unlocked by using the left
and right grips (1) to move the windshield forward
slightly.
NOTE: The right side windshield latch and grip are
shown. The left side is similar.

5. Grasp the upper handle (4) and the lower handle (3)
and slowly move the windshield forward and down
into the closed position.

6. When the front windshield reaches the lowered
position, firmly push forward on the left and right
grips (6). The latch levers (5) will spring into the
locked position to secure the windshield in the closed
position.
NOTE: The right side windshield latch and grip are
shown. The left side is similar.
