Maintenance
Most frequent faults:
Faulty O-rings (too little brewing pressure, leaking water
in the machine
Outlet piston / lower piston (water inlet) or brewing
cylinder clogged
Check
move the brewing cylinder up and down with the multitool,
in doing so check the inward movement of the brewing
cylinder into the outlet piston and the lower piston onto
the friction piston 2000.
check the condition of the O-rings
check for noise emissions
Check the clearance between the spindle and the sliding
carriage
Externally: Make an external visual check for defects (e.g.
notch on the spindle etc, spindle tripping)
Soiling (spindle bearing, pistons)
Service intervals
After every 45,000 coffee servings or after 12 months of op-
eration check the following:
Cleaning
Function and water-tightness check
Replace parts: Lower piston including O-ring
Outlet piston including O-ring
Check that the motor/gear is fitted to the motor-retainer
without clearance.
Piston motor: Check the clearance of the drive shaft on
the motor/gear housing connection
Replace the brewing unit with friction plunger O rings (do
not lubricate!)
After approx. 70,000 coffees, replace the following:
the complete brewing unit, excluding the motor
After approx. 100,000 coffees, replace the following:
Piston motor, complete, with gear
