Bar code input (only if the keyboard connection is integrated)
At the GLP2-i, it is possible to connect a bar-code scanner to the keyboard connection of the PC (option).
on = name of user, serial number and type can be scanned
With the & button, the code can be created.
(T) = read in test program (type) and load from the internal database
(N) = read in name of user
(S) = read in serial number
! = compulsory input before every test - e.g. (S)!
, = separates individual bar codes - e.g. (S),(T)
5 = length of a bar code – e.g. (S)5(T): the first 5 digits consist of the serial number
5-8 = length from ... to … (S)5(T)3-5
* = allows to enter only the beginning of the type.
"\" \" = string identification – e.g. \"*X\" Wildcards * is allowed
(A) = load order via NetCom - no further inputs allowed
maximum length of the inputs: 16 digits
Examples:
1: Only one test program is to be scanned: (T)
After scanning, it will be checked, whether this test program can be found in the database.
If the test program doesn’t exist, there will be an error message. (Wrong bar code)
2: Before every test, a serial number is to be read in: (S)!
Before every test, a serial number will have to be entered.
3: A bar code contains the test program and the serial number.
It needs to be defined, how many digits are used for the test program and how many digits are
used for the serial number. (T)5(S)
In this example, the first 5 digits stand for the test program and the following for the serial number.
4: With two individual bar codes, now the user name and the serial number are to be read in.
It is necessary to have an identification, which allows to distinguish between the bar codes.
This can be determined by the length; e.g. the user name has 6 digits, the serial number has 8 digits
and needs to be scanned before every test. (N)6,(S)8!
It is also possible to define that all bar codes from 1 to 6 digits are used for the user name and all
bar codes from 7 to 16 are used for the serial number. (N)1-6,(S)7-16!
5: A user name and a serial number is to be allowed to be read in but not identified by the length. E.g. the
user name can be identified by a special character. In this example, the user name will always begin
with a “?”.
(N)“?“,(S)
Program via input (only if this option is integrated)
By assigning a binary code to 24V inputs, it is possible to select a test program. When starting the test, this
test program will be loaded out of the internal database. This allows to select a test program with an
external control (PLC). In this case, the test programs must always start with a number and a blank (e.g.
3 Lamp 58W). This number determines the binary code at the 24V inputs and can therefore be identified
and loaded.
Test step display
Here you can select, how the test steps are to be displayed within the test program. Please also refer to
