Safety and Functional Tester GLP2-i/e
During the test, test object and test leads must not be touched!
The safety measures required by law must be adhered to!

Is the test o.k.?
A function test can also be executed as a visual test. The voltage is connected to the test object and then
this message appears on the display. The operator now has to decide, whether this test is o.k. and needs to
confirm this with the buttons that are indicated, also.
Error at HV voltage check test, check contacts!
In this case, the high-voltage test is designed as a 4-wire measurement. Via two leads, the high voltage is
connected to the test object via two further leads the voltage level is monitored. This makes sure that the
high voltage has actually been connected to the test object. If the above error message appears, the
voltage level of the high voltage has not been checked. Please check the connections and the contacts of
the test object.
The minimum current of the protective earth test is fallen below!
The PE test is performed with a current of 10A (option: up to 30A) and a voltage of 6V or 12V. Therefore,
the resistance of the complete PE test must be only 1.2 Ohm; otherwise it is not possible to have a current
of 10A flowing at 12V. Depending on its configuration, the testing device already has an internal resistance
of 0.2 Ohm, so that for all connection leads and the test object a maximum resistance of 1 Ohm must not
be exceeded. If you have a current of 25A, the resistance of the test object plus connection leads must be
max. 0.28 Ohm. If this resistance is exceeded, the selected current value cannot be adjusted and the above
error message occurs. The resistances of the connection leads must be reduced.
The maximum resistance is being exceeded!
For the insulation test, it is possible to enter a maximum resistance. If this maximum resistance is exceeded
during the insulation test, the above error message appears. If the test object usually has a defined
insulation resistance, this function can be used as voltage check test. In this case, there would be a fault in
the contacting. If, however, the insulation resistance of a test object is always above 500M Ohm, the
maximum resistance must be switched off in the test step.
The voltage could not be adjusted
There has been an error with the adjustment of the high voltage. Please contact the manufacturer of the
testing device.
The parameters could not be read in! (EEPROM U15)
If this error message appears while switching on the testing device, please start the device again. If this
error occurs again, please contact the manufacturer of the testing device.
Actual value storage out of memory!!
As soon as the interface COM0 is set to NetCom in the menu “Interfaces”, all test results are stored in the
internal storage. If the above error message occurs, the internal storage is full and the data can be read out
of the storage with the respective software (NetCom). If the results are not needed, interface COM0 must
be disabled all results are deleted from the storage.
Attention! Safety switch interrupted.
The testing device has a safety contact for the high voltage and a safety contact for the function and
leakage current test. For the respective tests, these contacts must be closed.
(for the connection please refer to 7.3 control plug)
Emergency Stop activated!
The testing device has a contact for the Emergency Stop, which must be closed for every test.
(for the connection please refer to 7.3 control plug)
The maximum dissipator temperature of the PE test has been exceeded!
If this message appears, the dissipator is too hot for the power amplifier of the PE test. Before another PE
test can be performed, you must wait until the dissipater has cooled down.
