Error Messages and Codes
The SEL-2701 reports both an error code and error message to the host. The
error code is a 16-bit register with an assigned error for each bit. While the
error code contains simultaneous reporting of all error conditions, the reported
string shows the most severe error. The errors are listed in Table 6.2 from most
to least severe, starting with Bit 0. For example, if a RAM check error and a
settings failure are detected, the error code will be 0009h and the error
message will be “RAM.” If there are no errors, the error code is 0h and the
error message is “NORMAL.”
