10: Using the Optional Display
10.1: Overview
This chapter describes the optional display for the MP200 metering unit. The display
lets you view meter readings remotely. The display come pre-configured, but you can
change the default settings, for example, the IP address, if necessary. There are two
available display models:
• The MDSN display has a 3.5” screen.
• The MDLN display has a 5.7” screen.
10.1: MDSN/MDLN Displays
The displays are touch-screen capable and offer both serial and Ethernet communica-
tion:
• Serial port configured for 2-wire RS485 communication
• RJ45 Ethernet Port for 10/100BaseT communication
10.2: Display Features
• Low power consumption - MDSN uses 6.5 W or less; MDLN uses 6.8 W or less
• Compact size
• Easy installation - fits in standard 22 mm/0.87 in. mounting hole
