7.2 Additional VP functions
7.2.1 Serial numbers
Instrument serial numbers have not been assigned when shipped from the
factory (numbers are set to “00000”). Please set the correct serial number
when installing the system.
(How to set the serial number)
① Startup system in special mode
② Go to the serial number function in the VP group
③ Enter the serial number corresponding to the label included with the
main unit.
(The beginning digits have already been set.)
CAUTION
Serial numbers are 14-charater codes beginning with the letter “L”
.
Correctly enter the first 12 characters, but the last two characters (an
alphanumeric code indicating the manufacturing plant) do not need to be
entered.
Example: L21004101234J9
= L2 100 41 01234 J9

: LC model type 100: model # 41: Production time

: sequential # J9: factory
7.2.2 Usage time
Clearing the D2 and W lamp usage times was explained above, but if the
usage time must be changed for whatever reason (replacing a circuit
board or loss of memory, etc.) startup the system in special mode. The
time settings for ”TOTAL OP TIME”, ”D2 LAMP USED”, and ”W LAMP
USED” can each be changed in the special mode. A lamp replacement
record will be recorded in the ”MAINTENANCE LOG” even when
changing the “D2 LAMP USED” or ”W LAMP USED” values.
7.2.3 Log records
None of the log records can be deleted.
7.2.4 Date and time
Each log records the date and time of each event, but model SPD-20A does
not have a backup clock, so the expression of date and time may differ
depending on the system status.
① When an SCL (CBM) controller is connected or when date and time
settings have been entered, dates for log entries will use the format
yy-mm-dd.
