6.1 Cleaning the temperature-controlled flow cell

6.1.4 Cleaning the quartz window
(1) With the instrument power supply turned off, disconnect the D2 lamp
connector and remove the D2 lamp. (Perform this step after the D2 lamp
has cooled sufficiently.)
(2) Remove the plate attached inside the lamp housing (two screws). A spring
is enclosed behind the plate, so loosen both screws evenly.
(3) A quartz window is located behind the spring. Pull the spring out slowly
and remove the window.
(4) Wipe any dirt from the window using a Kimwipe, etc., and reassemble the
parts.
