To use the intercom to contact another party:
1. Lift the handset.
2. Dial * 15 followed by the extension number of the person you want to contact.
Changing Availability State and Forwarding
You can set six distinct availability states for your extension. These availability states can be
configured with various options to forward incoming calls to another number or send them to voicemail.
Using the voicemail system, you can also record a different personal greeting for each availability
state. To configure options for the various availability states, use the ShoreTel Connect client.
The availability states are as follows:
Available (the default) allows you to answer all incoming calls.
In a Meeting
Out of Office
Vacation
Custom
Do not disturb
You can change your active availability state using the ShoreTel Connect client or the voicemail
system.
To change your active availability state through the voicemail system:
1. Press the Voicemail button.
2. Enter your password followed by #.
3. Press 7 for Mailbox Options.
4. Press 2, and then follow the prompts.
Note
If the person is already on a call when you contact
them through the intercom, the call is treated
like a regular incoming call.
Tip
When you log in to voicemail, the system notifies you if any availability state other than the Available
state is in effect.
