5.3.2 Optional external purge air unit
Replacing the filter element
b Have a new filter element (2) ready.
b Loosen hose clamp (6) on purge air hose (7) at the filter output and remove the hose,
clamp the hose at a clean location.
b Remove any dust from the outside of filter housing (1).
b Press the two quick-release snaps (4) on the filter housing cover (3) to release and
remove it.
b Remove filter element (2) by pulling and twisting it counterclockwise at the same time.
b Clean the inside of the filter housing and the filter housing cover with a cloth and brush.
b Insert the filter element by twisting and pressing it clockwise at the same time.
Spare part: Filter element Micro-Top element C11 100, Part No. 5306091
b Mount the filter housing cover, ensuring that it is aligned correctly with the housing, and
snap the quick-releases into place.
b Reconnect the purge air hose to the filter outlet using the hose clamp.

NOTICE:
The purge air unit must be serviced at the latest when the low-pressure
monitor at the filter outlet triggers (
→ Fig. 80).
NOTICE:
b Place the end of the hose in a safe place so that foreign objects cannot
be sucked in (this will cause irreparable damage to the blower), but do
not close the end of the hose! During this time, unfiltered purge air
enters the purge air connection.
NOTICE:
For wet cleaning, use only a water-soaked cloth and then dry the parts well.
