1. Introduction
1-1. DAHS
DAHS is a computerized system for monitoring pollutant emission in real time mode. DAHS
can assist personnel of environmental management with data-gathering and preventive-
alarming system. It is comprised of hardware and software system.
The hardware part of the DAHS is consisted of Data Logger, FEP (Front End Processor).
The software part of the DAHS is consisted of DAHS monitoring software and database(sqlite).
â—† Data Logger
Data Logger is a computer system with the features such as:
Collection of data from analyzers, transmission of the data to monitoring system,
Execution of remote-commands issued by monitoring system.
â—† FEP (Front End Processor)
FEP is a computer system that is located between Data Logger and monitoring system.
Especially it is used when more than one Data Logger to be used and the number of
outgoing connection lines has to be one.
â—† Manual Dump (remote-command)
Manual Dump is one of the system functions. Operators of monitoring system can
manually download the data that are missing due to system or line failure.
