5. D/L Expediency
(1) Communication Failed to the higher rank (EMC or monitoring PC)
① Change communication port type at D/L.
Regarding change method, refer to communication port set of the manual.
② Communication failed after change of communication port, reset communication
port at initial status.
③ Check connection between communication cable with modem.
④ Check DCD, SQ, RX-LEVEL of MODEM.
⑤ Check setting value of MODEM is as like:
-. 9600 Baud Rate Mode (by 9600 Bp)
-. Async 10 Bit Mode
-. V.14 Basic or Extended
-. Transmit CLOCK is INT or LOOP CLOCK
⑥ In case the above mentioned are all in normal condition, move to communication
port-view from D/L.
Press F1 Key in the above screen and ‘ ENQ’ data shall be transmitted from
D/L. Receiving ‘ ENQ’ , EMC and Monitoring PC (which are higher ranks of D/L)
should transmit ‘ ACK’ data, number 6 to D/L.
In case ① RX: doesn’ t indicate 06 on the above screen and any response is
shown, you should re-check modem, communication line, higher rank port, etc.
