5.13 Oiltemperature monitoring system
The gear unit can be fitted with a temperature monitor for measuring the oil temperature in the oil sump.
In order to measure the temperatures and/or temperature differences, the temperature monitor should be
connected to an evaluating device provided by the customer.
If the gear unit is designed as an appliance of category 2 in conformity with Directive 94/9/EC, it is, as a
standard, equipped with a Pt 100 resistance thermometer, a thermoelement or with a temperature control
for measuring the oil temperature in the oil sump.
If the gear unit is designed as an appliance of category 3 in conformity with Directive 94/9/EC, this
equipment is possible as an option.
Note
In order to measure the temperatures and/or the temperature differences, in case of a Pt 100 resistance
thermometer without evaluating instrument, the Pt 100 resistance thermometer should be connected to
an evaluation instrument provided by the customer.
