• Check the hollow and the drivenmachine shafts for any damage on the bearing seats and edges.
If necessary, rework the parts with a suitable tool and clean them again.
Note
Coat the contact surfaces with a suitable lubricant to prevent frictional corrosion.
6.6.2.1 Fitting with integrated DU bush
• Fit the gear unit by means of nut and threaded spindle. The support is provided by the hollow shaft.
NOTICE
Material damage
Risk of damage to the gear unit through canting during fitting work.
When fitting the gear unit, care must be taken that the hollow shaft and the machine shaft are aligned and
that the tooth position of the machine shaft relative to the hollow shaft is correct.
The correct tooth position can be determined by turning the input shaft or by swivelling the gear unit lightly
around the hollow shaft.
