5.16 Changeover
The gear unit can be fitted with a clutch as an option. The gear unit can be changed for two speeds.
Changeover is done manually.
NOTICE
Material damage
Risk of destruction of the gear unit or gearunit components.
The shifting operation may only be done with the motor at a standstill and while the load hook is lying on
the floor or with the brake on the output side switched on.
The end faces of the clutch teeth to be engaged when changing over are chamfered to enable the slight
rotary movement necessary for "tooth space alignment" to occur automatically when the shift ring is
shifted axially. If the teeth meet in such a way that the rotary movement does not occur automatically, the
shift lever must be returned to the initial position. The input shaft must be turned by hand to put the shifting
parts into a shiftable position. This procedure applies to all speeds. It must be ensured that, after shifting
to another speed, the pin of the locking knob has engaged in the hole provided thereto.
During this, the gearunit input shaft must be freely rotatable with the coupling and the motor.
NOTICE
Material damage
Risk of destruction of the gear unit or gearunit components.
It must be possible to switch the main motor on only, when a gear is engaged and when released by the
limit switch.
