6.9 Fitting the torque arm for the gearunit housing
6.9.1 Attaching the torque arm
NOTICE
Material damage
Damage to the gear unit possible through incorrect fitting of the motor or torque arm.
Motor and torque arm should be fitted only in consultation with Siemens. The torque arm must be fitted
stressfree on the machine side.

Damage to the gear unit possible through incorrect fitting of the torque arm.
In case of separately fitted gear units, it must be ensured that the gear unit is not subjected to external
forces through possible displacement.
The torque arm should be designed for the resetting moment and the weight forces involved.
Note
The torque arm is not included in our scope of delivery.
For design of the foundation for fastening the torque arm, see item 6.3.1.2, ("Foundation").
6.10 Gear unit with cooling coil
Before connecting the cooling coil the screw plugs must be removed from the connection bushes.
Flush the cooling coil (in order to remove any contamination).
Connect the coolingwater in and outflow pipes. For the position of the connections, refer to the
dimensioned drawing.
