● Format your floppy disks before you write to them for the first time (unless you
are using preformatted disks).
● Keep floppy disks away from magnetic objects.
● Keep floppy disks away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. The optimum
storage temperature is between +10°C and +52°C.
● Do not bend floppy disks or use a sharp pencil, a ball-point pen or an eraser
on the casing.
