The error indicator (amber LED) (2)
– lights up after you switch on the system unit and switches off once the self-test
has been successfully completed.
– flashes if the drive is malfunctioning or needs to be cleaned.
The data transfer indicator (green and amber LED) (3)
– only lights up green after you switch on the system unit, then changes to
flashing, and switches off once the self-test has been successfully completed.
Thereafter stays off unless data is being sent to the drive.
– flashes amber if compressed data is being read from or written to the tape.
– flashes green if uncompressed data is being read from or written to the tape.
