7.1.2 Configuring the console, keyboard, mouse and monitor
When you switch on the system, it boots automatically. During the boot procedure,
control messages are issued until you are prompted for information about your
terminal.
Alphanumeric console
If you have an alphanumeric console, the following selection menu appears:
Ê Select the appropriate console terminal type.
Various other messages are then displayed, and eventually the following message
appears:
Ê Now skip to the section “Terminating the initial boot procedure” on page 100.
You can choose one of the following term variables for your console terminal
1. vt02
2. 97801
3. ba80/9766
Please type in the number of your terminal: _
The system is ready.
