Ê Insert the key diskette into the drive until it clicks firmly into place and the
unlocking key pops out.
Ê Now type
y on the keyboard and press the Ú key.
If the wrong disk is inserted in the drive or if the drive is empty, although
you have pressed
y, the operating system will still boot properly. However,
the license that is set up will only be for two users.
Once you have completed the startup procedure, insert the correct key
disk in the drive to install the license for more than two users retroactively.
How you install a license retroactively is described in “Installing and oper-
ating SINIX - RM200,RM400” in the chapter entitled “Installing and dein-
stalling packages”, section “Installing software packages”.
If you typed
n, the operating system and the system itself are shut down
(with the
shutdown command).
If this happens you will need to start the boot procedure for the system
from the beginning again. To do so, repeat all the steps described in this
section.
If you pressed
y and the correct diskette was inserted in the drive, the following mes-
sage is displayed:
At this point, depending on the terminal equipment you have for your system, the
procedure splits into two separate branches (see following section).

No or incorrect SINIX authorization file.
System start continues, but afterwards only 2 users are allowed
to work on your system.
i
Assuming you want to abort, we are shutting your system down now.
Installation in progress. Do not remove the diskette.
