Ê Pull the OLR shuttle about 2 cm out.

Ê Wait for 30 seconds, until it is certain that the drive has stopped rotating.
Ê Pull the drive’s OLR shuttle all the way out of its bay, keeping a hand under it
for safety’s sake.
Do not carry the drive by the OLR shuttle’s handle. This handle is only
intended to help you pull the drive out of its bay.
Even with a defective disk drive, never touch the pin array on the back of
the OLR shuttle. Electrostatic discharges may destroy the drive
electronics.
Ê Carefully place the defective drive, with its large surface facing down, in the
original packaging of the new drive.
