Referencing the axis
Machines with incremental measuring systems must first be referenced, in
order to synchronise the
measuring system with the machine coordinate
sy
stem.
The machine should be in a ready condition before trying to travel to
the referen
ce position !!
The controller is automatically in Jog
—reference mode after successfully
powering up (JOG REF-mode).
Axis which require reference point approach are those shown below with
an empty circle behind t
he axis name.
Dependant upon the co
mmissioning of the machine, it is possible to use
automatic referencing w
hich is started simply by pressing „Cycle Start“
Or by pressing the axis direction key.
When the axis are successfully referenced, the referenced symbol will ap-
pear as sho
wn below.
Care to be taken
with override
switch.
