6.8 Machining residual material
Function
With stock removal against the contour, residual material is
automatically detected and an updated blank contour generated. The
excess material can be removed using a suitable tool with the
"Residual material" function.
This function is a software option.
Stock removal of free contours is usually programmed as described
below:
1. Stock removal (roughing)
2. Residual material (roughing)
3. Stock removal (finishing)

In the basic soft key menu of CONTOUR mode, confirm the soft key
labeled "Residual material".
