A. Mount extension shaft and booster
Using the example of a single-acting positioner. The figure on the right shows the devices in a
flameproof enclosure.
1. Plug the extension shaft â‘ onto the shaft of the positioner.
2. Tighten the locking screw â‘¡ at the flat end of the positioner shaft.
3. Check that the extension shaft â‘ sits properly.
4. Turn the short threaded end of the threaded bolts â‘¢ into the positioner up to the endstop.
5. Tighten the threaded bolts â‘¢ lightly using an open-ended wrench.
