ential protection
Figure 2-21 illustrates the logic diagram of the breaker failure protection. The phase-
selective indications of the stages are summarised to form general phase indications.
Additionally the device provides information of which stage picked up.

As soon as the differential protection function registers a fault within its tripping zone,
the signal „Diff. Gen. Flt.“ (general device pickup of the differential protection)
