In addition, communication with the the master unit is
possible via the serial interface.
The functional units in the bay unit and master unit
are powered by powerful power supply units. The bay
unit has a wide-range power supply. For the master
unit power supply modules for different input voltage
ranges are available.
Short dips or failures of the supply voltage up to 50
ms, which may occur due to short-circuits in the DC
supply system of the station, are compensated by a
DC storage capacitor (for nominal voltages
60 V).
