pear on the screen for a moment, and then go back to
the TideTracker display with the new information.
4IDEDATE can be set to any future date. The tide infor-
mation can be computed to the end of year 2010. Insert
a new date by means of the numerical keys, and con-
firm with [ENT].
4IME can toggle between STANDARD TIME and DAY-
LIGHT SAVINGS TIME
by means of the +/- key, confirm
with [ENT].
F The time is always presented in 24 hour format, and
is local time, NOT GMT!
4IDEGRID can toggle between ON and OFF by means of
the +/- key, confirm with [ENT].

The science of tide prediction is an exacting one. But,
like the prediction of the weather, is subject to vari-
ables beyond the control of man. The following section
describes the conditions under which the accuracy of
the TideTracker may be affected.
In general, the TideTracker is capable of typical accura-
cies of ±0.2 feet (height of tide), and ±2 minutes (time
of next tide).
However, a number of factors may cause the accuracy
