IMPORTANT
Follow the safety instructions on the lubri-
cant's safety data sheet.
DANGER
Explosion
Prior to assembling the ATEX pro-
gressive metering devices, all
safety-related ATEX rules and
certificates must be present and
maintained. It must be ensured
(checked) that no potentially explo-
sive atmosphere is present.
The applicable ATEX Directives must
be observed.
DANGER
Explosion hazard from non-ATEX-
compliant attachments and moni-
toring equipment
Only attachments and monitoring
equipment approved by SKF for the
ATEX progressive metering devices
may be installed.
6.2 Minimum mounting dimensions
To ensure enough space for maintenance
work and for any disassembly of the prod-
uct, ensure that the minimum mounting
dimensions listed below (Figs. 11 to 26) are
maintained.
DANGER
Excessive switching voltage hazard
An isolating amplifier must be insert-
ed if the sensor will be used in a po-
tentially explosive atmosphere (ATEX).
The maximum permissible voltage U

must not be exceeded.
WARNING
Supply lines or moving parts
When drilling the assembly holes,
you must be careful of any supply
lines or other units, as well as of
other hazards such as moving com-
ponents.
Maintain safety clearances and
comply with local regulations for as-
sembly and accident prevention.
