RECOMMEN DED FUEL AN D OIL
Recommended Fuel
Use unleaded gasoline available from most service stations or
oxygenated fuel containing a maxim um total of 10% of ethanol
or met hanol or both. The gasoline used must have the following
recommended minimum octane number.

This is the m inim um octane number required for those engines, if
not available, (91 (RON + MON)/2) or 95 RON (outside north america)
canbeused.
CAUTION: Never experiment with other fuels or fu el r atio s. The
use of unrecommended fuel can result in snowmobile perfor-
mance deterio r ation an d d amage to cr itical parts in the fuel sys-
te m a nd engine com pon ents. D o no t mistak e oil re se rvo ir c ap
for fuel tank cap. Oil reservoir cap is identified OIL.
WARNING
Alw ays stop the e ngine before re fue lin g. Fue l is fla m m a ble
and explo sive u nder cert ain c ondit ions. Always work in a well
ventil ate d are a. Do not s m ok e or allow open flames or s park s
in the vicinity. Op en cap slowly. If a different ial pressure con-
dition is noticed (whistlin g sound heard when l oos ening fue l
tan k c ap) have vehicl e inspecte d a nd/or re pa ired before fur-
the r ope r ati on. Do not o verf ill or top o ff the fuel tan k befor e
placing the vehicle in a warm area. As temperature increases,
fuel exp and s and might overflow. A lways wipe off any fuel
spillage from th e vehicle . Per iodically verify fuel system.
Fuel System An tifreeze
W hen using oxygenated fuel, additional gas line antif reeze or water
absorbing additives are not required and should be not used.
When using non-oxygenated fuel, we highly recom mend the use of
isopropyl base gas line antifreeze in a proportion of 150 mL (5 U.S.
oz) of gas li ne anti freeze added to 40 l iters (10 -1/2 U .S. g al ) of g as .
