Carrying a Passenger
Certain snowmobiles are des ig ned for a n operator only, oth ers c an
allow one p assenger only, an d others can allow u p to two p assen-
gers. Refer to the indications on the vehicles to know if any part icu-
lar snowmobile can accom modate passengers or not, and if so, how
many. Always respect those indications. Overloading is dangerous
because snowmobiles are not desi gned for it.
Even when passengers are allowed, you must make sure that the
personswhowouldliketobecomepassengersarephysicallyfitfor
snowmobiling.
WARNING
A ny passenger must be able to firmly lay his feet on the
footre s ts and k eep his hands on the grab handle s or seat strap
at all times when seated. Respecting those physical criteria is
imp ortant to ens ure that the pa ssenge r is sta ble a nd to reduc e
the ri sk s of eje ction.
