Attach tether cord to operator's clothing eyelet.
Start engine and allow it to warm up two or three minutes at idle
speed.
Release parking brake.
WARNING
Make sur e wid e-base snowm ob ile m echanical s tand is stab le.
Stay clear of the front of vehicle and the track. Do not use too
muc h throt tle during warm - up or whe n track is fre e-hanging.
Apply throttle until drive pull ey engages. Let track rotate at low
speed for several turns. The lower the vehicle temperature is the
lo nger vehicle w ar m-up should be.
Shut-off the engine and remove the w ide -base snowmobile mechan-
ical stand .
Skis m ay be frozen on the ground. Grab both skis one at a tim e by
their loops and lift their front end slightly off the ground.
After restarting engine, the vehicle can be driven at low speed for
the first 2 or 3 minutes of riding. After that, it may be driven up to
the le gal speed limit as per normal safety practices.
S hutting Off the Engine
Release throttle lever and wait until engine has returned to idle
speed.
Shut off the engine usi ng either ignition switch, engine cut-out
switch or teth er cut-out s witc h.
WARNING
Always rem ove tether cord cap and key w hen vehicle is not in
ope rati on in orde r to prev en t accidenta l eng ine sta rtin g or to
avoid unau thorized use by ch ild ren or others or thef t.
Post-Operation Care
Shut off the engine. Install rear of vehicle on a wide-base snowmo-
bile mech anical stand.
Remove snow and ice from rear suspension, track, front suspension,
steerin g mechanism and skis.
Always cover your snowmobile when leaving it overnight or during
extended per iods of inactivity. This will protect it from freezing as
well as retain its appearance.
