BREAK-IN PERIOD
Engine
CAUTION: A bre ak-in period of 10 operatin g hou rs — 500 km
(3 00 miles) — is required be fore running t he snowmobi le at ful l
throttle.
During break-in period, maximum throttle should not exceed 3/4.
However, bri ef fu ll accel eratio n and s peed va ria tions contribute to
agoodbreak-in.
CAUTION: Engine overheating, continued wide open throttle
runs and prolonged cruising without speed variations should
be a voide d, this c an cause engine damage du ring the bre ak -in
pe riod .
All Models except SDI Engine Equipped Models
To assure additional protection during the initial engine break-in,
500 mL (18 imp. oz) of recommended injection oil should be added
to fuel fo r the first fu ll fi ll ing of fuel tank . H ave s pa rk plugs c le an ed
after eng in e break-in.
Belt
All Models
A new drive belt requires a break-in period of 50 km (30 miles). Avoid
strong acceleration/deceleration, pulling a load or high speed cruis-
ing.
10-Ho ur Inspec tion
N O TE: The 10-hour inspection is at t he expense of the snowmobile
owner.
As with any precision piece of mechanical equipment, w e suggest
that after the first 10 hours of operation or 500 km (300 miles),
whichever comes first, your snowmobile be checked by an au-
