12) Tether Cut-Out S wi tch
General
W hen the tether cord cap is removed, its shuts the engine off pr e-
venting snowmobile to runaway if the operator falls off the vehicle
accidently.
WARNING
Always remove teth er co rd cap and key when vehicle is n ot
in operation in order t o p revent accidental engin e sta rting, to
avoid unau thorized use by ch ild ren or others or thef t.
Operation
Attach tether cord eyelet to clothing, then snap tether cord cap over
post before starting engine.

If emergency engine shut off is required, completely pull tet her cord
